Banking Services in Alonnisos

Should you need access to an ATM or other conventional banking services while visiting Alonnisos, there is a full-service branch of the National Bank of Greece located in Patitri on the main road that leads up from the port. It is perhaps 75 meters from the sea on the left side of the street. The ATM, which accepts all standard cash/credit cards, is of course located on the exterior of the bank (see photo to your right). To see a map of Patitiri that identifies the bank’s location, click here.

Please note that the regular bank hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and on Fridays it closes at 2:00 p.m. The ATM is obviously available 24/7 (providing it doesn’t run out of Euros or experience some other type of failure). If you do need to access other bank services, I recommend that you plan to arrive at the bank as early as possible because it can get very crowded in there at other times. When you enter the facility, be certain to use the machine that issues numbers for customers waiting for service. Even if the bank has just a couple clients in line it can get very busy in there very quickly.
