During the summer of 2025 Tsoukanas Insurance opened an office in Patitiri. It is located approximately one block north of the port on the right side of the “back-street” that connects with the walking path to the Old Village.
The proprietor, George Tsoukanas, is an industry-certified insurance professional who provides insurance packages for a wide range of coverage options and prices. The packages are available for cars, motorbikes, motorcycles, and boats, as well as houses, and health and professional indemnity. He has access to insurance coverage alternatives from a wide variety of European insurance companies that operate in Greece. George has a strong commitment to top quality customer service, and to operating in a highly ethical manner.
As a matter of background, we originally met George in 2016 and in very short order he became a very close family friend. We developed such extensive trust in him, that in 2019 we requested his assistance in overseeing the legalization and sales process for my in-laws’ former property in the Old Village.
During that nearly four-year process, George expertly managed the activities of all professional parties involved (i.e., architect, accountant, attorney), solved numerous problems, and kept everything on track for us. His ability to speak fluent English and communicate in Greek made him an ideal person to support the entire effort.
It is important to note that George is well-versed with respect to the house/property legalization and sales process in Greece, and would therefore be a great resource for any Alonnisos homeowner who is interested in legalizing and selling their property.
